Your Role 

As our General Counsel, you’ll be the trusted legal advisor to our senior leadership team, overseeing all corporate, commercial and regulatory legal matters. From building a scalable legal function to supporting  strategic decisions, you'll play a critical role in enabling growth while safeguarding the company. Your work will span across our departments, empowering teams and ensuring compliance at every step. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-impact role for a hands-on legal leader ready to make a difference.

Your Responsibilities

    • Build and lead the legal function, establish scalable legal processes, tools, and policies in areas such as legal tech, compliance, contract management, competition law, and data protection that support business growth.
    • Act as an advisor to the management team, providing pragmatic legal guidance across all areas of the business. Identify and mitigate risks in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
    • Oversee corporate governance matters, including corporate law, board and shareholder matters as well as compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Draft, review and negotiate key commercial contracts. Support strategic partnerships and financing transactions ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
    • Manage actual or potential disputes, claims, and litigation. Represent FINN in negotiations, at court and with public authorities if required.
    • Structure and streamline the collaboration with external lawyers.

Your Profile

    • Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with admission to practice law
    • Fluent in German is a must, ideally English (business proficiency), ability to conduct negotiation in both languages
    • 8+ years of professional experience in a renowned law firm, ideally with first business experience
    • Experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, data protection and (regulatory) compliance
    • Business-minded with a pragmatic approach and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial goals.
    • Team player with high self-motivation and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
    • Hands-on and execution-oriented, comfortable handling both strategic and day-to-day legal tasks.
    • Ideally first experience on the within a corporate
    • Agility and willingness to quickly get up to speed with new and complex topics
