Position summary

We are now looking for a commercially minded, tech-savvy, Legal Counsel based in Athens that wants to join our global legal team currently consisting of nine experienced lawyers (five based at our headquarters in Stockholm and four based in Athens) and support them with international, complex and challenging legal tasks.ย 

You will join an international, innovation-driven company with a culture that encourages learning and development. In this role, you will work with areas such as corporate law, commercial contract law, IT and tech and much more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide apprehensive business legal advice in close collaboration with the Legal team based in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Independently draft and negotiate commercial agreements where license agreements and various types of cooperation agreements are common.
  • Work closely with all our departments/worldwide business to ensure that the business receives correct and effective advice.
  • Have responsibility for many external contacts and ensure effective legal risk management in business agreements and negotiations.


Requirements

  • University Degree in Lawย 
  • 3-6 years of working experience in the field of business law in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Experienced and independent in writing and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Knowledge of Information technology law, Intellectual property rights, and/or employment law is an advantage but not a must.
  • Strong legal analytical skills
  • Strong ability in finding answers and solving problems with a pragmatic approach, giving tangible and to-the-point advice to the organization
  • Team player with a curious, open and business oriented mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Greek (orally & written)
