Job Description

Within the Tire Sector we are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel (m/w/diverse) to join our dynamic legal team in Hannover, Germany. As a key member of our Global Commercial Law Department, you will provide expert legal advice to the tire business, among others:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of legal matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support business decisions and strategies
  • Provide legal support to global projects
  • Support and participate in global law networks on specific fields of law
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legal developments and provide updates to stakeholders including senior management
  • Identifying and analyzing legal risks, developing and implementing solutions to avoid, limit, or secure them
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts of all kinds in close cooperation with internal stakeholders
  • Enforcing claims of the group companies of the Tire Sector and defending claims made against them
  • Commissioning and managing external law firms and legal spend
  • Developing and conducting workshops and training sessions in German and English

Qualifications

  • Active bar admission in Germany
  • Several years of experience in commercial law, preferably within an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of German commercial law and international business law
  • Experience in legal support in technical product compliance /technical regulatory and/or sustainability/ESG is a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
  • Superior contract drafting and negotiation abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Structured and analytical thinking
  • Ability to familiarize with new areas of law quickly
