Senior Legal Counsel

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading Online Casino Gaming Company who is seeking to onboard a Senior Legal Counsel for their Malta office.

Position:  Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Pieta, Malta (office) 

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide legal advice across various practice areas, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, data protection, employment, and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, internal policies, and contract management processes.
• Deliver timely, practical guidance to support compliant and efficient business decision-making.
• Review, implement, and enforce terms and conditions while handling disputes, complaints, and litigation matters.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex and cross-border legal issues.
• Lead due diligence processes to ensure compliance in multi-jurisdictional markets.
• Support corporate governance by preparing resolutions, legal documentation, and internal records.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native / fluent in English, with strong command in both writing and speaking. 
• Additional proficiency in Finnish, would be considered an advantage. 
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar legal role.
• Degree in Law with professional legal qualification.
• Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented, quality-driven approach.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to share expertise and contribute to team development.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across the business.
• Confidence in advising senior management and contributing to strategic decision-making.
