The Associate Privacy Counsel will play a meaningful role on Ingram Micro’s data privacy team by ensuring compliance with legal obligations and the balancing of legal risks and company strategy. You will partner across the company’s global operations and may be called on to support several areas of the business.
As an Associate Privacy Council you will be:
Assisting Ingram Micro’s privacy and data protection team with the development, maintenance and enhancement of Ingram Micro’s global privacy program, including preparing and maintaining related policies and other documentation;
Preparing and/or managing Data Privacy Impact Assessments, Transfer Impact Assessments, Data Protection Agreements, Standard Contractual Clauses and data protection language in standard contractual agreements;
Managing Data Subject Requests, due diligence questionnaires, and ensure all Records of Processing Activities are regularly reviewed and kept up-to-date
Taking part of the implementation and improvement of scalable processes such as cookie consent and privacy by design;
Working with different teams including business, support teams, InfoSec, engineering and product teams;
Staying informed about, and assisting Ingram Micro’s privacy and data protection team in advising on, regulatory and industry developments, including monitoring trends in privacy and security laws, regulations, and public policy
Working with teams across the US and globally;
What you'll bring:
A Law Degree is an advantage (other degrees combined with comparable vocational training and practical experience will also be considered)
3 to 5 years of technology legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
3 to 5 years of experience working on privacy and data protection matters, including strong interest and knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PDPA, etc.
Comfortable with technology and technical terminology
Fluency and Legal Working Proficiency in English.
Experience with drafting, reviewing and/or handling documents and agreements;
Privacy certification is (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM) is an advantage
Experience in in-house compliance departments’ roles is an advantage
Advanced knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft 365 applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to detect issues
Capacity to interact successfully in multicultural environments and with different local cultures
Capacity to work in a dynamic and continuously changing environment
Excellent drafting skills
