Job Title: Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

Legal Leadership & Project Oversight

  • Lead and manage acquisitions, corporate transactions, and other strategic deal processes.
  • Oversee due diligence, governance, and post-transaction integration activities.
  • Support the legal team in corporate structuring and cross-border compliance.

Drafting & Negotiation

  • Take full ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-level agreements, including commercial, corporate, employment, IP, distribution, and marketing contracts.
  • Handle legal documents with precision, ensuring clarity, risk mitigation, and commercial viability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure legal accuracy and smooth execution.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions where the company operates.
  • Provide ongoing legal advice on operational matters, internal policies, and strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify legal risks and propose actionable solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise closely with the Chief Legal Officer and legal team on key matters including:
    • Reviewing and drafting new contracts or agreements
    • Supporting M&A and partnership transactions
    • Assisting with corporate housekeeping and documentation reviews
  • Act as a reliable legal partner to other departments, helping translate complex legal language into business-friendly guidance.

General Support & Special Projects

  • Support the legal team with ad-hoc matters that arise in the course of business.
  • Assist in documentation processing and internal/external due diligence requirements.
  • Get involved in specific projects and take initiative as needed with minimal supervision.


Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials in Law.
  • Licensed to practice law in Cyprus, the UK, or another relevant jurisdiction.
  • 4–6 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably from a top-tier law firm or reputable in-house legal department.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal tasks with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess legal risks pragmatically.
  • Proactive, independent, and highly organized - able to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate legal matters clearly to non-legal colleagues.
  • Experience across multiple jurisdictions is a plus.
  • High ethical standards, strong judgment, and professional integrity.
