Job Title: Legal Counsel

Responsibilities
Legal Leadership & Project Oversight
- Lead and manage acquisitions, corporate transactions, and other strategic deal processes.
- Oversee due diligence, governance, and post-transaction integration activities.
- Support the legal team in corporate structuring and cross-border compliance.
Drafting & Negotiation
- Take full ownership of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-level agreements, including commercial, corporate, employment, IP, distribution, and marketing contracts.
- Handle legal documents with precision, ensuring clarity, risk mitigation, and commercial viability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure legal accuracy and smooth execution.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions where the company operates.
- Provide ongoing legal advice on operational matters, internal policies, and strategic initiatives.
- Proactively identify legal risks and propose actionable solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise closely with the Chief Legal Officer and legal team on key matters including:
- Reviewing and drafting new contracts or agreements
- Supporting M&A and partnership transactions
- Assisting with corporate housekeeping and documentation reviews
- Act as a reliable legal partner to other departments, helping translate complex legal language into business-friendly guidance.
General Support & Special Projects
- Support the legal team with ad-hoc matters that arise in the course of business.
- Assist in documentation processing and internal/external due diligence requirements.
- Get involved in specific projects and take initiative as needed with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Excellent academic credentials in Law.
- Licensed to practice law in Cyprus, the UK, or another relevant jurisdiction.
- 4–6 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably from a top-tier law firm or reputable in-house legal department.
- Proven ability to manage complex legal tasks with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess legal risks pragmatically.
- Proactive, independent, and highly organized - able to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate legal matters clearly to non-legal colleagues.
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions is a plus.
- High ethical standards, strong judgment, and professional integrity.
