(Junior) Legal Counsel (m/w/d), Commercial Legal Operations

We are seeking a (Junior) Legal Counsel (m/w/d), Commercial Legal Operations.

This role is located in the Stuttgart region, in Korntal-Münchingen, Germany, we are open to hybrid work arrangements for those who live in the area. This is part-time (up to 20 hours per week), temporary contract for a maternity cover role, lasting up to 9 months and with the potential for permanent extension.

How you will make a difference @ FARO 

You are a member of FARO’s Legal team. Admission to the Bar is not expected. You are expected to have a strong focus on increasing the efficiency of our legal operations. You are responsible for advising the contract managers on the legal aspects of contracts review and for proactively improving our legal operations processes on the sales and on the procurement side. You will report to the Senior Director Legal, Global, Global Head of Privacy.

How you will make a difference @ FARO 

• Bachelor Law degree as a business lawyer ("Wirtschaftsjurist, M/F/D")
• Professional experience in Legal Operations and working with Legal Tec
• Experience with compliance and with implementing privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is a plus
• Two to five years of corporate experience; law firm experience is advantageous
• Excellent written and oral command of German and English; any other European language (e.g., romance languages; Turkish) is a plus

• Excellent understanding for driving improvement in Legal Operations
• Good knowledge of sales law, distribution law, and procurement law
• Highly proactive working style, solution-oriented team player
• High analytical thinking skills, strong independent decision-making skills and a feel for highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced commercial law relationships
• Quick comprehension, high motivation and willingness to take responsibility, as well as assertiveness and willingness to perform
• Transparent and respectful communication
• Experience with international business contexts
• Fluency in German and English is a must
