Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join its Legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for career development in a fast-paced, international environment. The successful candidate will be based at the Group’s headquarters in Athens and will provide strategic legal guidance and leadership on a broad range of legal matters.

In this role, you will support the Group’s subsidiaries across Southern Europe, the Middle East, the United States, Northern Europe, and Australia, ensuring that legal and contractual risks are effectively identified and mitigated. You will also play a key role in corporate transformation projects, including M&As, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives, while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Provide day-to-day legal support to the Group’s subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
• Provide expert legal advice on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters to the Group's subsidiaries
• Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and preparation of contracts and agreements, including commercial, financial, and master agreements
• Oversee the development and drafting of corporate governance documents
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements
• Assess and advise on legal risks in new business relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on national and international legal developments
• Collaborate with internal legal teams and liaise with external legal advisors on litigation, dispute resolution, regulatory filings, and licensing

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; a master’s degree is essential
• At least 5-6 years of legal experience, preferably with in-house counsel experience
• Expertise in Corporate, Commercial and International Law
• Knowledge of Labor Law, GDPR and IP Rights
• Proven experience in handling complex legal matters and high-value transactions
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic legal advice
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office and legal research tools
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of an additional language (especially German or Italian) is a plus
