LEGAL COUNSEL EMEA
Arrow is now seeking a Legal Counsel EMEA to be based in Gdansk, Poland and who will work with our legal team based in Germany and France. The successful candidate will work with other Arrow lawyers advising on a wide variety of commercial & corporate transactions and a plethora of ad hoc in-house issues.
The role, which envisages a wide range of legal issues relevant to Arrowβs EMEA business, is highly commercial, but with strong intellectual and legal accuracy. The ability to influence at a senior level is important, as well as sound commercial judgement and the ability to apply legal principles to identify options and make recommendations in a very international environment.
What will you do:
Review and draft various types of agreements, including commercial agreements, general terms and conditions of sale, service agreements, supply and sale contracts, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements and letters/general communications received from external clients or customers.
Reports to director of legal affairs and interfaces directly with management of the company.
Interface with various stakeholder departments outside of legal, including sales, tax, treasury, finance and compliance.
Conduct contract and settlement negotiations with business clients and customers.
Corporate work
Manage litigation with outside counsel.
Review and resolve general legal-related issues, routinely on short notice, which can arise in a global company.
Research and analyze law sources (statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles and legal codes). Draft legal memoranda and other applicable documents.
Assist in development of legal related training materials and conduct seminars for sales, finance and other business organizations of the Company.
Your profile:
Completed university degree in Law and preferably licensed to practice law in Germany, France, UK or Italy
3+ years of actual and full time experience in corporate environment or corporate legal practice
Knowledge and experience of German, French, UK or Italian and EU law
Full professional proficiency in the English language and a second European language such as German, French or Italian
Ability to work independently and with diverse, international team.
Having worked in distribution or IT a plus. Having worked in professional setting where drafting and negotiation of contracts a plus.
